The 12th Energy Storage International Summit and Exhibition (ESIE2024) was held on April 10-13, 2024 at Beijing Shougang Convention and Exhibition Center. At ESIE2024, a reporter from the global network met HeroEE, the world's first energy storage product, which weighs about 8kg and can be lifted by one hand, helping residents in energy-poor areas to enjoy affordable and reliable electricity. "This is a truly affordable and reliable energy inclusion product for energy-poor households." Guan Wei, general manager of the Haichen Terminal Scene Incubation Center, told Global News that HeroEE, the world's first energy-affirming product, has a built-in energy of 1 kilowatt-hour (1 kWh), and solves the basic electricity problem of energy-poor households through the mode of "charging during the daytime and using at night", and that the product can be connected in real time through cell phone APPs, so you can check the battery status, remote switch. "Ensuring access to affordable, reliable and sustainable modern energy for all" is one of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals and a common global task. However, according to the World Bank's Global Access to Electricity report, it is estimated that by 2030, 660 million people around the world will still have no access to electricity at all, with 85% of them living in sub-Saharan Africa and the rest in South Asia. In addition, 732 million energy poor people globally do not have access to eight hours of lighting and moderate 200-watt power for electrical equipment. "Our research in more than two dozen countries in Africa and South Asia found that many areas are facing power shortages, affecting life and production." Guan Wei gave an example to the reporter, Nigeria is the most populous country in Africa, with a poverty-stricken population of more than 100 million, and a serious shortage of electricity supply restricts economic development. "Locals are unable to work and study once the sun goes down. If we can bring electricity to their homes, then they will have more opportunities to work and get an education, which will boost the economy." Improving the living standards of the population, upgrading education and employment, and developing the economy starts with solving the most basic energy problem. The vast area of Africa is rich in light resources, and photovoltaic power generation is the cheapest and non-polluting energy source, but the problem is that photovoltaic power generation relies on the weather and cannot provide continuous power. Haichen Energy Storage's HeroEE product is designed to solve this global problem. Many families use diesel generators, which not only cost more, but also have the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. Instead, a PV panel and a set of HeroEE can form a small distributed PV power plant to meet daily electricity needs. "HeroEE is priced at RMB 999, the cost of each kilowatt-hour is only about RMB 0.4, about one-sixth of the cost of diesel power generation, and the built-in electric power industrial-grade core can be charged and discharged for 10,000 times, which means that the service life is up to more than ten years." Guan Wei introduced. What is the most unique thing about Hero EE? Guan Wei introduction, Hero EE's single set of energy storage system within only one electric core, energy storage capacity of one degree of electricity, with a very high degree of system integration to achieve the control of equipment costs, but this is also the product development of the difficulties. "While the voltage of a single core is only 3.2V, Haichen Energy Storage breaks through the technical limitations and raises the extremely low voltage of a single core to the level of 220V AC for daily household appliances." This technological breakthrough gives HeroEE a significant advantage in terms of functional integration and cost-effectiveness. Behind this is the scientific and technological strength of more than 1,200 R&D staff at Tatsun Energy Storage and a cumulative number of more than 3,000 patent applications worldwide. In addition to helping power-starved countries apply HeroEE products, Guan Wei and his team have longer-term considerations. "Together with more and more partners, we are providing local matching appliances and other equipment for cold chain development of fisheries and other specialty industries. We hope to help more people use green energy to run their business and work and get a decent life." It is reported that as one of the members of the United Nations Global Compact Organization, Haichen Energy Storage is practicing the principles of the Global Compact, and at the same time, it is also using innovative energy storage technologies and products to promote the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, to promote the universal service of clean energy, and to enable more people in the region to eliminate energy poverty and enjoy scientific and technological civilization.
